(MC) Motorcycle assembly line

Our motorcycle assembly line is a customizable automated production system built for two-wheeled vehicles. It supports assembly of electric bicycles, electric motorcycles and two-wheel scooters, with multiple optional conveyor configurations to match different batch sizes and production layouts.

These workshop photos show two typical configurations of the production system. The first image displays a suspended assembly line (SAL), with rows of red overhead hanging fixtures mounted on green steel frames. Workpieces can be lifted off the floor for underframe assembly, saving valuable workshop ground space. The second photo presents a plate chain or double-speed chain ground assembly line, fitted with overhead lighting, fans and tool hanging rails. The long continuous conveyor runs through the workshop, providing comfortable and standardized working stations for sequential vehicle assembly.

Production Line Overview & Process Composition

This production system covers the full assembly workflow for two-wheelers: frame pretreatment, front fork and wheel installation, powertrain mounting, rear wheel and brake assembly, wiring harness and controller fitting, instrument and body panel installation, accessory assembly and finished vehicle performance inspection. Multiple line types can be selected according to product mix and factory space.

Plate Chain Assembly Line (PCL)

The motorcycle frame is secured to fixtures on the plate chain main bracket. The vehicle’s longitudinal direction aligns with the conveying direction. Workpieces travel synchronously with the chain, allowing workers to install engines, wheels, electrical components and other parts in sequence. Featuring simple structure and heavy load capacity, PCL is well suited for mass-volume production.

Double-Speed Chain Assembly Line (DSCL)

It adopts double-speed chain or roller chain as the transmission medium, paired with aluminum alloy guide rails to form a flexible transport system. Every workstation is equipped with dedicated fixtures. It supports free or forced production tact; workpieces can stay stationary at stations while the chain keeps running, greatly improving operational flexibility. DSCL fits multi-variety, small-batch production. It can also integrate with elevators, suspension lines and robotic equipment to build a 3D circulating production layout.

Suspended Assembly Line (SAL)

This design uses suspension chain or steel rope conveyors to hang motorcycle frames or half-finished vehicles in the air for assembly. It reduces floor occupation and enables three-dimensional production arrangement.

Integrated Functions

The line can be combined with dedicated testing stations to merge assembly and inspection procedures. It also adapts to complex assembly workflows and larger vehicles including three-wheeled motorcycles.

Main Assembly Workflow

Frame Loading & Pretreatment Secure the vehicle frame onto conveyor fixtures and complete frame pretreatment.

Front Fork & Front Wheel Assembly Install front fork, front wheel, handlebar and headlight components.

Powertrain & Rear Wheel Mounting Fit motor/engine, rear wheel, axle and brake assemblies.

Electrical & Control System Installation Mount controllers, wiring harness, dashboard and switches.

Body Panels & Accessories Fitting Install body covers, reflectors and other auxiliary parts.

Finished Vehicle Test & Quality Audit Run functional inspection of power, braking and electric systems. Qualified two-wheelers are unloaded. Empty fixtures circulate back for cyclic production.
